Are you ready for a little extra daylight when you get out of school and off work? Most people can't wait for this event each year. The main purpose of Daylight Savings Time is very simple-to make better use of daylight. We change our clocks during the summer months to move an hour of daylight from the morning to the evening. The rationale behind Daylight Saving Time is to save energy in the summer months by extending the daylight in the evening when more people would be using more lights and electricity. So, don't forget to spring forward one hour before you go to bed on Saturday night so you can enjoy an hour more daylight on Sunday!
